2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Specs Reviews & Price
It is well known that Ford is developing medium pickup for the North American market based on the current T6 platform used on global Ranger trucks. In fact, Ford has officially announced the Ranger will return to America in 2019, along with the iconic Bronco name mounted on the body-on-frame Ranger SUV. But hidden deep within the Australian Outback roamed the suspicious Ranger’s test mules with higher ground clearance, wider fenders, a fat front bumper, and a fleshy tire. Could Ford prepare the Raptor Ranger version? We certainly believe so.

2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Exterior
Ranger Raptor’s front bumper, tow hook, and thick slip plate are all from the F-150 Raptor.
Starting in front, the Ranger Raptor front bumper, tow hook, and thick slip plate all come from the F-150 Raptor. This section not only sets the Raptor version apart, but also serves a functional purpose. The bumper design provides an impressive angle of approach for off-street driving. It is also made of steel, giving more resistance to abuse. The same goes for the front skid plate. It mounted flush with bumper, allowing maximum range of critical mechanical components. And like the F-150 Raptor, the Ranger Raptor crane hook is easily accessible.
The grille was also borrowed from the F-150 Raptor. The bored F-O-R-D has been a signature for the Raptor. Such styles are also rooted in history, also with Toyota using block letters on the iconic FJ model. Even today, Toyota uses this styling design on its TRD Pro model. Ford will likely decorate the Ranger Raptor’s hood as well, giving it ventilation for heat reduction.
Around the side, the Ranger Ranger is likely to have a steel board that serves for two purposes: reducing entry into the cabin and acting as a rock slider that protects the rocker panels.
Around the side, the Ranger Ranger is likely to have a steel board that serves for two purposes: reducing entry into the cabin and acting as a rock slider that protects the rocker panels. Ranger Ranger will also have a wider path compared to a standard pickup. This requires a wider fender with large flares to cover higher tires. We believe Ford will continue to use new T / A KO2 BFGoodrich (ish) T / A KO2 tires, just like the F-150 Raptor.
The size will differ between trucks, as the F-150 Raptor drives a 35-inch tire and the Ranger Raptor will probably use the 33-inch version. Still, estimate the 17-inch alloy wheels with diameter. Ford may offer Ranger Ranger with similar wheel options as well. The F-150 Raptor comes with a conventional alloy wheels, while the optional wheel is beadlock-capable for more rigorous off-road use. These are the wheels we use in our rendering.
In hindsight, tailgate will have some sort of Raptor badge – and probably a big one, back then. The tow hook mounted behind a familiar trailer is seen in spy photos, so it is expected to be present also in the production model.
2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Interior
No one outside Ford has glimpsed the interior of the Ford Ranger Raptor in 2019, so it’s impossible to accurately guess what Ford is up to. However, we can speculate on the Raptor-specific upgrade by comparing the F-150 standard with its Raptor version. Here, the F-150 Raptor gets a unique seat with thick bolsters and accented leather panel. The standard fabric seats, however, have a unique pattern that sets it apart from the lower F-150 models.
The steering wheel also special thanks Raptor to red center marker at 12 noon, contrast contrast stitching, and thicker handle at 10 and 2 pm. Behind the wheel is a large F1 paddle shifter mounted on the column, which keeps their location apart from wheel motion.
As said, this is the kind of update we can find on the Raptorized pickup Ranger version. And by 2019, or in an effort to meet U.S. buyers, Ranger interior can see major improvements with improved in-dash technology and larger screens, better materials, and styling cues shared with the F-150.
2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Powertrain
Ford does not need to develop new versions or high output engines. This has made thousands of EcoBoosts 3.5 liters per month.
Ford will undoubtedly give Ranger Ranger some powerful coxy. The F-150 Raptor gets a high-output version of the second generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. That’s 75 more horsepower and torque torque over 0.4 liter EcoBoost 3.5 liter standard. But for a smaller and lighter Ranger Ranger, EcoBoost “standard” will be very powerful.
In 2016 + F-150, it makes the horsepower of a very respectable 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Plus, Ford has done its best for bulletproofing so extreme pulling machines and high mileage performance, so that it can easily handle anything Ranger Raptor can do. What’s more, Ford does not need to develop new versions or high output engines. This has made thousands of EcoBoosts 3.5 liters per month.
The 3.5-liter EcoBoost, in such cases, will be a topping range machine in the Ranger. We suspect the EcoBoost V-6 2.7 liter will be a bread-n-butter machine, while a five-cylinder five-cylinder turbodiesel will be an extra cost option on the non-Raptor model. Ford has used the oil burner in the Global Ranger – and more importantly for U.S. regulations. – in a full-size UF Transit van .S.-spec. Surely Ford will have no problems with the EPA, unlike the Chrysler and Volkswagen Fiat.
Optional transmission could be a new automatic 10-speed Ford.
Optional transmission could be a new automatic 10-speed Ford. The gearbox is already used in the F-150 Raptor and F-150 which is equipped with EcoBoost 3.5-liter standard 3.5 output. Even so, Ford can go cheap and use six-speed automatic. We managed to cross our fingers Ford will also offer a six-speed manual transmission as well. The Global Ranger now comes standard with manuals, so transitions should not be too hard or expensive.
As for the 4WD system, Ford is likely to lower the high-tech components of the F-150 Raptor. This means that Ranger Ranger will get a limited differential differential; electronic locking back differential; and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. In the F-150 Raptor, the T-case operation is controlled two ways: manually with buttons on the dashboard and automatically by switching through six drive modes. Weather mode, for example, performs 4WD for extra attraction, while the Crawl Crawl mode enables 4WD Low range, locks the rear differential, and performs second gear starting for better control of torque.
The Ranger Raptor suspension system is rumored to leave little conventional practice. Rear suspension to remove spring leaf for multi-link setup with Watt Link and coil spring. Ram has a configuration similar to 1500 and 2500HD modes. The advantages are improved ride quality, reduced weight, and better handling. This will be greeted by Ranger Ranger. Up front, the truck will use a reinforced control arm like the F-150 Raptor. And, of course, expecting Fox Racing Shocks in all four of his points.
2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Price
It’s almost impossible to nail the price at the moment, but expect Ford to directly compete with Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 2018, which carries a base price of $ 40,995. It makes your Colorado Cab Extended with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine and all off-road stuff. Options include Crew Cab and 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel. Even so, Ford could capitalize on the popularity of the Raptor signboards and charge more.
Currently, the Toyota Tacoma TRD Prois is the most expensive pickup in the high-performance, off-road mid-size category with an MSRP base of $ 40,960 for manual transmission and $ 42,960 for automatic transmission.
In fact, Ford can not charge too much for the Ranger Raptor, because it will narrow the distance between himself and the F-150 Raptor. Ford charges $ 49,265 for the F-150 Raptor 2017 in SuperCab. Guess the bet we have the Raptor Ranger 2019 which starts around $ 42,000.
